Jim Bell is an internationally recognized expert on
eco-nomically
integrated design. Working in this capacity for twenty years, he has
helped companies and organizations transform their ecological liabilities
into economic assets.
Bell is a design consultant and teacher. He served
as co-project
director and construction manager for the succesful wastewater treatment
plant
and reuse project, Eco Parque, in Tijuana, Mexico. He is teaching a series
of workshops on "Achieving Economic Security." He lectures to as many as
100 groups a year from third grade classes to graduate student seminars
and professional conferences. He has written numerous articles exposing
the myth that ecological sustainability and economic health are in conflict,
and has published a critically acclaimed book on this subject.
